The following steps will be performed during backup:

|OBM downloads the server file list from OBS|
|OBM issues commands to create the System State data|

|System State data are temporarily stored in the temporary directory specified in the OBM's backup set|
|Server and local file lists are compared to determine which file will be uploaded|
|Delta file is generated for modified file if necessary|
|Data are encrypted, compressed, in OBM and then uploaded to OBS|
|System State data are removed from the temporary directory specified in the backup set|
|Backup completed successfully|
Backup of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, SBS 2011
Simply create a corresponding backup set in the OBM client-side backup application by selecting [System State Backup] from the backup set type dropdown menu. Enter the name for this backup set, e.g. BackupSet.
Configure the Backup Schedule.
Configure the Encryption settings. The [Default] option uses the backup account Password as the encryption key. For better protection, you can choose your own encryption setting by choosing the [Custom] option.
Configure the Temporary Folder. Make sure this folder provides enough space for storing all the System State data.
Done. Scheduled backup will run automatically at the configured schedule time.
You can trigger a backup job manually by clicking the [Backup] button.
When completed, the System State of your machine will be backed up to the OBS.
Restore of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, SBS 2011
Click [Restore] button in the OBM.
Select the appropriate backup set for Windows System State in the OBM.
Select the System State file to be restored and its restore destination, and then click [Start Restore].
When restoration completed, insert the Windows Setup Disc into the CD / DVD drive.
Restart the computer. From the Install Windows Wizard, go through the [Repair your computer] procedures. The Windows System State will be restored successfully when finished.
